You post reminds me of how I think of the geese coming back in the spring. Huge honking flocks go over the house to land in the pond down the road. I always imagine them carrying on conversations like this as they fly over: "Agnes, How ya doin darlin, you look lovely...did you get some work done? Did I tell you about Harvey's bursitis...no? Feh it's been terrible!" Etc. etc. you get the idea...in my mind they have rich New York accents...just gossiping & nattering away as they come back from vacation, it always makes me smile.
Oh, Cheryl, please write a story with the geese talking just like that! I can hear them making comments about the humans, too, "That nice new lawn the FitzWankeys put in, so smooth, just for us..."
That is absolutely beautiful! The shading in the leaves reaches inside my soul ...
