Let us pity those poor creatures who live their lives unaware of the wonderful features of our friend the lowly (but magnificent) dandelion. Herbal remedy, diuretic, delight for the eye, child's toy, wine source, salad delicacy, example of nature's abundance, avid marker of dog territory.... what more could you want?Oh, all right, if you crave dandelion jam we can tell you about that too.

Hey gals! I rather enjoyed all this high-brow point-n-counterpoint on this toughest-of-all, and quite fetching, yellow-flowered plant.
I have seen it as an example of nature's abundance when, upon looking out my door, my lawn is more yellow than green ....

You can always tell where dogs have visited regularly. The grass is high and the dandelions are especially lush. Something to do with uric acid.
