wow thats one big nest! where is that?
Alongside Shore Road in Setauket. I think she took advantage of a pile of straw that had been raked there. She's right at the edge of the water but near the road and walkers too.
Pretty picture! Swans can be quite pugnacious though, be careful walking by her. Have you seen her mate?
For all I know that could be Mr. Swan.They are big when they waddle toward you. I think I can run faster, though.
Just be careful not to to run afowl of them and take a swan dive into the water ;)
