Sundrops

I know they are very ordinary, but I do love my sundrops. They seem to be early this year. With the sun shining through the bright petals they are so ... so ... so ... words fail me.

They are cheerful and optimistic, stalwart and hopeful, and lend the perfect note of encouragement in the face of so much adversity that greets us every day.

That's it. That is what I meant to say.

I saw some of those at a friends house this past weekend, I asked her what they were and said I should get some of those. They are cheery and spread, I may put them up by the road at my house, I need something that will spread and fill in the bare spots of that garden.

Yes, they will spread. This week is their moment of glory. They look like weeds the rest of the summer.
