A beautiful day in October and several hundred thousand people came to make their voices heard
The many buses unloaded at RFK Stadium. Our 5 hour ride from Long Island got us there at 10:30. I noted one bus from Chicago. Imagine their stiff limbs.

From there we walked a couple of blocks to the Metro

The Lincoln Memorial with big screens

Labor, civil rights, human rights groups

After much walking we finally found our AFT table and I switched my shirt for one that did fit. Whew. Our group consisted of seven NYSUT members from Suffolk Community College. We shared the bus with teachers from Commack, Smithtown and other communities.
All sorts of groups and ideas were represented
Some seemingly left over from the 1960s

Walking to the Metro,
or was if from?

and we waved at the White House
(More pictures tomorrow)
