Alas, no, I didn't see it. I found the area of the parking lot they sopke of, and the walkway but no birds and no birders to ask.I'd never been to Captree before and the long causeway from the mainland was a surprise, sort of queasy-making.

A Common Ground Dove, rare in these parts, has been sighted at Captree State Park for a couple of weeks now. I'm off to try to see it today.
