I'd say we had close to 20 inches. With my little shovel and my landlady's big shovel and a nice neighbor's snowblower the drive was clear by 3:30. Then a town plow came by and left a snowy barrier right behind my car! which I barreled my way through and drove to the grocery store--cabin fever. Funny, no traffic. We're between semesters so there aren't many have-to activities right now, fortunately
I think in total we got about 21 inches after all was done. I stayed home all day, baked cookies and bread, I had bread failure though, my yeast must have been old and it came out pretty bad, threw it in the garbage, I wouldn't even feed that to the birds it was so bad!! I drove to work today and the side roads were covered with snow but nothing I can't handle, yesterday there was no way my little car could have gone out. You are like me, I bust through snowbanks if I have to!!
Sounds like you had a pleasant day off, except for the dead yeast. Bright sunshine today, a little settling but still an awful lot og snow around. Had a Carolina wren today and a downie wp.
