I didn't mean they were not good pictures. I hope you didn't think that. I see deer all the time on my way home in the woods and they are hidden in between the tree's, eye trickery
I went on a Sierra Club hike at that same park two days ago and didn't see any deer at all. The weather was just super on Sunday. We are so lucky this year. I know what you meant about the pix, don't worry. But my pictures are often technically bad and I'd be the first to admit it. The event or the emotion is the thing, not perfection.

Yes, they're not very good pictures. I had to stay on my side of the fence; couldn't get any closer. There were 3 of them.
