Whenever I upload a new post on my blog there is a message like this:
"You are currently using (number)MB (number %) of your 1024MB."
The percentage is creeping up. What happens when it reaches 100%? Is there any way to reduce the percentage? If I deleted some posts from my archive would the number go down? Is more than 1024MB allowed?
(I know I've posted this picture before, but I like it so much I thought I'd post it again. She's the goddess Flora from a seaside villa in ancient Stabia)

Hi Priscilla - when I came back over to see if anybody had added comments to your 1950's photos post, I saw your question here.
While I don't use any of Blogger's or Picasa's facilities for my pictures, I did a quick search in Blogger's help to see if there were any info that might help you.
I found that there is a limit of 1024 MB (or 1 giga byte) of storage allowed for FREE storage of your pictures on Picasa. If you want to be able to store more pictures without deleting old posts, you have to sign up for a paid account with Picasa - a royal gotcha-ya for sure.
Here is the link to their help page with various info about this subject:
http://www.google.com/support/blogger/bin/search.py?ctx=en%3Asearchbox&query=1024+MB
If this link doesn't transpose correctly, go to your dashboard page - there will be a "help" link in the upper right. Enter "1024 MB" in the search box.
Hope this helps .....
P.S. There is a way to save off your older posts in digital format from your dashboard tabs - look for "export".
Also I found a Blogger spin-off company that prints blogs in book format - either soft or hard cover - sort of interesting. I'm going to try it first for my older posts from 5-6 years ago ....

Thanks for the info. I will check into that.
I discovered that all the photos I ever posted on my blogs are in folders on Picasa, some of them in duplicate. Wow.
Were exactly does this message pop up? I looked for it this morning when I published a post and didn't see it. Surely I have to be running out of room by this point!
Cheryl, see my new post.
