ugh it's everywhere, All over upstate NY, MA, CT, Everywhere, poor allergy sufferers! it must be terrible for them, I don't have allergies so it does not bother me, it looks nice too, all yellow everywhere.
Like you Kris I've started to let it grow in the back yard, it attracts Japanese Beetles and helps pull them away (some of them anyway) from my garden. It is rather pretty in it's own humble way :)

Goldenrod does not cause hay fever. The pollen is too heavy to fly around. Ragweed is the villain. Goldenrod is one of my favorite wildflowers.
Oh sorry again I don't know my weeds. Is goldenrod a weed? I have it in my garden, I left it there. Ah Ragweed, thats the one!
