Played tourist again

We came into the city day before yesterday
 but we didn't see this
 and we didn't see this
 nor this
 nor this
but this is what we came in for,
 the Pompeii exhibit

79 AD. Mt. Vesuvius erupted. A whole city was entombed. Amazing. The human casts are very moving; the real objects--everything from graceful murals to strigils to gold jewelry to pots and pans to a loaf of bread--vividly remind us that they were real people leading ordinary lives when the catastrophe happened.

I'm going for a weekend in October and we are going to see a show, not sure which one yet but I am cheering for hair. Did you have fun?!?!?

Yes and no. The Pompeii exhibit was sobering and grim though interesting. Later on we took the subway up to 66th St. and walked around Lincoln Center looking at all the buildings and fountains. I'll post a few pictures of that soon.
Nice day overall.
The A/C on the LIRR going home was so cold I nearly froze! Ironic.
