Oh that's sad! Maybe they will start over in a safer spot. Poor little eggs look so forlorn!
That is sad news - you can't help but wonder what has happened to them to cause the apparent abandonment. I hope that they found a safer spot also. Sadly I just heard a report on the news last night about all the recent bird strikes at the airports - with most of them being Canada geese.
I'm thinking they may have been young birds just practising and the eggs were not viable. Or else people are shooting geese for food now.
Oh too bad... I was hoping to see the little ones.
Any sign of the geese?
I'll check on Friday when I'm there next.
May 1st update...Nest still has 2 abandoned eggs. No goose brooding.
