Picture #1: My watermelons are grown hydroponically in my living room with gro-lights - I put them in clear plastic boxes so that they get the light but I can pack more of them into my 14x14 room. Also, this way I can grow them all year long.
Picture #2: A New Delhi stockbroker, enjoying his retirement ....
[laughing] You're right about pic #2. He made $1000 and can now retire to enjoy the good life! (in short his cost of living is WAY below ours)
I had read a blurb somewhere about pumpkins grown in molds...that's so weird looking but like you said it does make sense.
