Giant Sedum

All summer long I have been watching the giant sedum forming its flower heads. It took forever to bloom. Now the fluffy violet blooms are there but since I took these pictures the stalks have flopped over as if in exhaustion. This plant grew from a cutting so it doesn't owe me anything. I'm threatening it with a store-bought companion for support, a chrysanthemum, an interloper.

What a pretty patch of flowers :)

There is a native sedum that sprouts up on the perimeter of the yard, and I have "Dragon's Blood" Sedum in my garden...kind of a love/hate thing though, when the sedum blooms the end of summer is upon us.

Thanks. It's my one and only flower patch. Our first frost is sometime in November so things keep going till then.

I'm a "johnny-come-lately" here but that is a pretty grouping of flowers! Flower pots are a great way to have a little garden.
