Hi Omer and Danny - you two sure live up there in cold country!! Have you learned how to use snowshoes?

Aw, gee, thanks, Herb!
That was a very nice comment.
The hair color is not quite what the good lord gave me. I decided years ago if I had to color my hair at all I might as well make it what I always wanted to be--platinum blond. I've lost a bit of weight since this picture was taken and keep trying to lose more.
My little friends are so sweet. Their parents Aamir and Uzma are wonderful people I got to know when I was working at Adelphi University a few years ago. He is now working on a doctorate in international development and hopes to do his field work in the part of Pakistan he is from, that most dangerous area, the North West Frontier Province. Naturally I follow the news from Pakistan closely. This is the first Muslim family I have ever known, and I must say they are the best Christians I know!
Ok, Herb, now you gotta post a picture of yourself, belly and all.

One reason your comment may disappear is the word verfication hurdle--even if you fill that line in and press Publish sometimes it wants you to verify another string of letters. The red instruction to do that may be below the bottom of the screen and you'd have to scroll down to see it, so you navigate away thinking the comment is on its way. But it never got there. At least that's what's been happening with me.
Thanks for the compliment. (I think You-Know-Who is a coward not to put up a recent picture of himself)
