This may be the place

This may be the place where that blasted deer tick lived, the one that bit me and gave me the Lyme Disease I have just been diagnosed with. October 8th was a lovely day and I enjoyed a walk in Wertheim Wildlife Preserve on the South Shore. It seems likely that was the date and scene of the crime. Thanks a heap, Ms. Tick, for the Borella burgdordferi!

Thanks, L and all the gang. It's a barrel of laughs!

Lyme disease stinks, I wouldn't wish that on any body. I wish you well and health, that isn't easy to deal with so I have heard.

Thanks, Kristen. I had no symptoms except a large rash on my back. The docs around here are very well informed on Lyme since LI is a hotbed of it, and they sent me for a blood test which it came back positive. I'm on a 21-day course of Doxycycline, rather nausea-making. Can't wait to be finished with it. A friend at work had to have a painful spinal tap as her case was diagnosed later. I'm lucky, in a sense. Caught it early.
