The name "Flatiron" building jumped right out at me --- I hadn't heard of it before.
Besides the unusual name, what else is it known for?
Glad that you have posted all these pictures - I'll probably not get to NYC again so its fun to see parts of the dear old girl up close and personal!

I love nYC, there I'll tell you again!! Ever notice all the water towers on the rooftops? Weird huh? Last time I was there, I saw a water tower repair man, I thought they were old and not used any more
