Hillary and Followers in Old Field

This scene impressed me as a politician giving a speech to an enthusiastic but orderly crowd of tulips.
Old Field is a very posh area within Setauket (near Stony Brook). Many waterfront properties. Probably heavily Republican. This is an example of nose thumbing, I suspect.

I feel sorry for those tulips. Even if they were bored to tears they'd be rooted to the same spot without any hope of escape. A true captive audience.

I would imagine that if you wanted your gardens to grow well you should get a whole gaggle of politicians making speeches....plants do so well when provided with manure, and it does seem to be a major component in politics.

Such a well-deserved display of cynicism towards politics from all - please include me!

Good lordie, you people are cynical!! SOMEBODY has to be President!
Yes, they probably got the manure for free at some fund-raiser.
That's not the whole picture, of course. Right at the edge of the bed a small backhoe was digging a hole, perhaps for a new sewage system.
