I'm talking to Mom right now, and of course she quickly saw what the issue is. Jeeze am I a total dope. The code is showing as you didn't title the post...Oh my what a knucklehead I am..how embarrassing.
Right, I posted it as a new post thinking I could then drag it over to the right. Couldn't. Your instructions were clear up to a point, C, but it called for a URL and what I had saved was the code. I want it to look like this blog: New York City Daily Photo.(I'll give address in next comment)
N.B. The presence of the clock on my blog was not meant as disrespect to Biddie, who has recently rejoiced loudly and publicly at her escape from the clutches of time constraints.
(( laughing out VERY LOUD )) If there was any sign of disrespect (whether blatant or nuanced) in that tick-tocker's presence - it sure went over my head .... I was very much into trying to figure the whole animated "gadgets" thing and how to easily get the clock over to the right-hand side for you.

Can anyone tell me how to move this over to the right side of the blog?
I copied and pasted it from clocklink.com
Go to "Customize" (upper right corner when you are signed in to your blog & looking at your page).
You should be on "Add & arrange page elements"
In the right column click on "Add a gadget"
Scroll through the choices & click on "HTML/Java script"
Insert your widget's code in the "content" box, hit save, & preview the results.
If it is satisfactory, hit the orange "save" tab above the "Add & arrange page elements" box...and Voila!
*You can also drag the widget around if you want to move it from the top position.
Sorry about the delete, I caught a major grammatical error much to my chagrin!!

I like the clock .....
Whoops - this new format has some unexpected behaviors - I need to go explore some for an animated gif.

I went to Clocklink.com, and added it to my blog to make sure it could be added. I'm not sure where Blogger is asking you for the URL?
When you click on "Add a Gadget", are you clicking on the HTML/Java Script option?
The blurb says this:
"HTML/JavaScript Add
Add third-party functionality or other code to your blog."
The box that opens up when you click on above is labeled "Configure HTML/JavaScript" with two white boxes beneath. The code goes into the content box.
Sorry about the mess I made with your comments, I was so worried that I messed you up.
Yay! It worked
Woohoo!! Awesome!!
I'm doing a happy clock dance over here :)
Hey, Hey, Hey!!! Congratulations - it looks fine!! Perserverance and Teamwork does it again!!!!
And it looks like the old format for Comments is back!
