I went and posted my flower show pix on my Stony Brook blog instead of on this one, Winged Words. Does anyone know how to switch or copy a whole post from one blog to another?
Update: Problem solved thanks to Kristen. See below.

I think you have to do a whole new one, sorry
Or just tell the rest of the folks to go to that blog, I liked your pictures, I can't believe it already came to the Philly flower show, we were supposed to go, looks a lot bigger than our flower show in Hartford. I bet you had a great time, sorry we missed it, I couldn't have gone after all with my Boston trip and Cheryl had boo boo dog.
Hi Priscilla - a little bit of "copy-n-paste" can move your copy over ....
1. in the Stony Brook blog, go to "New Post"
2. click on the "Edit Posts" tab at the top of the page
3. click on "EDIT" by the mis-positioned post
4. copy the contents of the post window. Also make a mental note of your post's title.
5. temporarily leave the Stony Brook blog and go to your Winged Words blog.
6. click on the "New Post" at the top of your Winged Words blog
7. "paste" the contents from the other blog into the large window in this blog. Add your title at the top. Publish your entry.
8. go back to the Stony Brook blog as outined in steps 1 and 2 above
9. delete the mis-placed post
Hope this helps!
oops - sorry about the mis-spelled word in step 8:
"outined" should be "outlined"
Tried the copy and paste thing; text came over fine but pix didn't so I'll just leave the post as is and put up the rest of the PFS pix (in batches) on this blog. I wish you folks could have been there. You would have been enraptured. There was a great deal to buy--bulbs, seeds, tools, tulips, pussy willows, etc. but I only got some skin cream made from honey and a floral patterned spoon rest. Oh, and I got a pink Jersey Girl shirt at the Molly Pitcher rest stop on the Turnpike.
Priscilla - you just "taught" me something about the background workings of Blogger - I had thought that when you uploaded pictures, they went into a sort of "universal" bucket that any post could access. Apparently, they are tightly linked to an individual post and/or blog.
If you still would like to move the post over to your Winged Words blog, redo the copy-n-post routine for the text and then re-upload your pictures from your computer to this particular post/blog.
It seems that Kristen was closer to the best way to do it because of what blogger does behind the scenes.
I think I know how to copy and paste so the pics come over, edit your post that you want to move, up in the right top there is edit HTPL (I think those are the initials) and Compose. Click the HTPL and it changes your pics to just words and computer lingo, then you can copy and paste and the pics come with it.
Thank you, Kristen, that worked!!
I dated it 3/5 so it would be in the right order.
Good News!! Sorry that I couldn't help - I went looking for the edit and compose tab that Kristen mentioned - I couldn't find it on the setup that Blogger presents to me - sure glad that Kristen was able to help - the post looks great in it's new home!!
Yeah I am glad it worked, I discovered that before and forgot about it, for a while all my pics were getting uploaded that way and I couldn't see which ones I was putting up, I was very confused and one day I noticed! Glad I was able to help!!!
